Directions
Hey guys
I'm working on the directions

If you use Map-quest you may have a problem on this end,
it will put you on the wrong side of the river at the last turn it gives you.
I'm on RT 11 , some of the directions will put you on and off RT11 to save distance..

From the South once in Maine,
(Note, all directions will take you to Milo,
depending which route you take they can take you on and off from RT 11 ,

The shortest way
(note. this way you will drop RT 11 for a time until picking it up again in Milo)

Take exit 157, Newport, taking a left off the ramp .
going though town, go through the ( I think ) only set of lights,,
you'll be on RT 7 - 11 ,

(the Rite-Aid should be to your right just through the lights. stay on RT 7 to Dover, (Dover and Dover FoxCroft are the same place)

stay on RT 7 to Dover FoxCroft, (you'll be leaving RT11 about half way for a time),
(you'll be dropping RT7 with in the lights)
At the first of 3 lights in Dover FoxCroft, take a left,
a right at the 2nd light ,
and a right at the 3rd blinking light

the US post office will be on your left once you take the right.

you should be now on RT 6 - 16 to Milo.
In Milo (marker) at the Camden bank you'll pick up RT11 North (again),
stay straight up the hill , ( spiting distance. )
bear left staying on RT 11 North to Brownville.
***************

The easiest way is about 26 miles father, it goes through Bangor.
time wise it may be about the same baring I95 road work .

Once in Maine, take the I 95 North to exit 199 go left at the end of the ramp.
take that road (which will end up Elm street) to it's end in Milo.
the true Value store will be directly in front of you) take your right, the Camden Bank is on the right corner

just up the road/hill you'll come to a fork, bear left towards Brownville
you'll be on RT 11 (you'll pass the Napa store to your left.)

Once in Brownville ( about 5 miles) use the four corners as a mile marker literally,
(stay straight on RT11. the only Mobil station in town is at the four corners )
my place will be one mile on the left ,

house number 686
inside of the 2nd left hand corner, After the 2nd set of RR crossings,

if you miss the place you'll come to the Brownville elementary school
same side, it's the 2nd place past me.

*((Note, if you stay on RT 11 north from RT 7 or any of the other directions it will bring you right past my place also. just more back roads to travel..))

* the only problem I can see is, once off from the I 95 from exit 199
when you get on this side of the town of
Lagrange you'll come to a tight left hand corner, you need to take the corner,
do not go straight, I say this because if it's foggy out, you can end up going straight there.. you'll end up in Medford not Milo. just
stay on the newly paved road..it runs new all the way to Milo

Dan:
i will be coming up with Pete Ceprano who is a member of Necka. He does not get out as much right now as he is in a wheel chair. So I thought this would be a good outing for him. Any idea how many are planning to attend? Let me know if there is anything you want me to bring. Thanks.

Marcel

Hi Dan,
I'd like to attend as a visitor/guest of Lamont with the hopes of joining up, maybe at the hammer in. Should I bring anything? Lamont and I will ride up together.
See you there. I'm looking forward to it.

Scott I have you down , I think we'll be good on everything other than anvils tools and forges. we'll have enough for one set up at least..
I still have that lathe if you are still interested.
if you don't take it I'll have to make it into something maybe a variable speed disk sander
