Smile Post your PSK! Survival Kits on Klippe

Hey everyone,

I just started an article on Klippe on Personal Survival Kits. Kevin Estela has posted his excellent PSK there, and I'm wondering if anyone else would like to do the same. If you'd like yours listed, post a few photos (or at least one photo with all of the contents out) and list what's in there. I'll copy them into the article as I have time to do so. Also let me know how you'd like to be credited (avatar, name, website, whatever). I'm experimenting with a new way of formatting the photos in the article, so if anything looks funky, let me know.

It would be pretty cool if we can get a bunch of PSK's in one place

PSK's on Klippe!

Thanks,

CanDo

Shall we make this more interesting?....

On March 20, 08 we'll create a poll and vote for the best PSK I know that it comes down to "well what about size and personal needs and..." but it's just for fun, vote for the one you just like the most

I will also post a pic of what I carry on hikes with me and what I would most likely be caught with in a survival situation.

You can add this to Klippe
Here is my psk and everything I carry with me on hikes etc.
as you can see I stick paracord everywhere
first the blades I carry, yard hook, oht, and griptilian for fuzzsticks

here is some of the bigger stuff, canteen with paracord strap, first aid in compass pouch, psk in pouch

close up of pouch, it is from best glide
the pin is to keep it close as it uses velcrow

contents, bcb military survival kit that I modded, hand warmer, mirror, space blanket, mini mag, lip balm

contents of mini first aid kit

the other stuff, poncho goes in my bdu pocket, cut down towel goes in the other, "survival" bandana, boat matches in pocket, my hat with paracord daisy chained through the loops, silva copass, food, bug repelant

another knife shot with my 5 dallor surplus belt that is the best belt I own

I wear British soldier 95 dpm pants, wear a sas ripstop windproof, and wear altama riple sole jungle boots

so what do you guys think

My original Kit under my passenger seat in car. Oft copied and unfortunately so, since I'm looking to change over to an Aluminum or SS box instead.

Please DO not store batteries in your devices and then in the sealed Pelican Micro.
This is in the trunk of my car. With a modification since the pictures

On that note, big thanks to everyone who has contributed an article, photos, videos, a few sentences, a grammatical correction, or feedback!

If Wikipedia didn't convince you, Klippe is a pretty good demonstration of the power of communal development.

42 Articles Complete, over 230 photos, Another 22 Articles under construction. If you haven't been to the main page in a while, check it out.

I should also mention the best part about the current state of the project:

When it began, I made an outline of the topics it was to include. Right now, we've only just scratched the surface of that list. There is a LOT of work ahead for a LONG time.
