Just like Joe, this is my first Azwelke sheath - and I have to say the fit, finish, and quality are top notch!
I am very impressed and pleased with the attention to detail, i.e. heated/sealed seams, symmetry, thumb ramp, perfectly formed *holstex* and taped blade area.
The retention is nice and snug with no wiggle or unwanted movement. The authoritative "snap" puts a smile on my face every time.
This GAW was a great way for me to test/review your sheaths and I've already put in an order for another sheath (for my BK12). I am looking forward to that one as well, and will probably be getting more from you in the future.
Thanks again for the great GAW! It was a good excuse to wander the property and find some suitable flora to complement the photo opp.
Will a CF sheath (including the hardener) resist deformation from heat better than Kydex? I leave my toolbelt in the car and have to remold parts of the sheath on occasion... UPDATE: Nevermind. Just noticed the use of the term Holstex in another thread.
The "authoritative snap" is right. Very secure, stout, well crafted sheath. I am going to get mine set up on my EDC pack this weekend and post some photos.
