I have a few Camillus Marine reproduction (Ka Bar, MK2, type) knives. All are Model # 5685B, all have a EGA-USMC embossed leather sheath, all are marked CAMILLUS N.Y. but some are marked U.S.M.C. (with a period after each letter) and some just USMC (with no periods). There are also manufacturing differences in the false cutting edges and fullers (Blood Groves) indicating they were made at different times or places. Does anyone know the dates of production for the two types? Which is earlier or later? Why the very different manufacture for the same model knife from the same company? Thank you for your time.
