  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Camillus, N.Y.

So have they begun renovations, or at least boarded up the broken windows?

Not Sure, i havent been near the factory since last year.
Last time, the tears welled up so bad that i could hardly see anyways.

Try having over 28 years at the place and then walk through a building that is 100% gutted.

Codger,
The newspaper article is misleading. I was at the auction when the Camillus Cutlery Co. buildings were sold. Brown Bark purchased the company when it closed in 2007 and offered the buildings at auction. There were few bidders at the auction and the high bidder was Green Leaf. The high bidder was the same person from Brown Bark. The real estate was merely transferred from one company to another. There was no real sale of the real estate other than a transfer from one holding company to another.
I spoke with the new owners of the buildings and they have big plans for the old cutlery buildings. I have many of the old blueprints of the buildings and the Camillus Historical Society has the property survey maps that will be made available to the new owners to assist them in their renovations.
