I ground and heat treated this knife along with several others almost 2 years ago exactly.
I always had other plans for this knife, hence the reason it was never finished.
I finally finished it out and took it for a test drive for a couple weeks since I had never made or used a kitchen knife in this steel before. It patina'd very nicely and cutting performance was excellent. After I had my fun with it I refinished it and thinned the edge a bit more to give it even better cutting performance.
