do saddleback belts stretch?

All the belts I have owned have stretched width wise where the buckle meets the holes.
It gets so bad that there is a difference of 1/4" plus in different places along the belts.
Can anyone with long term experience with their belts let me know if these belts tend to stretch and shrink in width?
My belts previous have all been in the 20-50$ range, but no point spending more if I will have the same problems with more expensive belts right?!
Thanks

I own an old bull belt that I've worn daily for about 8 months now and it doesn't look to have stretched at all. This thing is thick, stiff leather and I'll be surprised if it stretches or narrows measurably. I really like mine and would buy it again. I believe the tow belt is even stronger and has a nylon core between two layers of leather so it would be even less likely to deform
