I'm going to switch to forging with coal, because I want to do a little more artistic/architectural stuff, and that means I need long curves and something shaped more like a bowl than a box.

I've enjoyed this forge, and as long as I stuck to knives, it's been great. But now it's for sale.

It didn't come as an "open end" model, so I cut an open end myself. For knife work, I do basically everything through the end hole and rarely use the front door. If you were shoeing horses, it would be all in the front door.

I believe this is the right model: http://www.centaurforge.com/NC-Whisper-Deluxe-Atmospheric-Forge/productinfo/NCFORGE/
Mine is marked Model 3, as you can see in the photos.

I'll include the hose and regulator. The regulator works for turning up and down the pressure, but doesn't work well for reading the PSI number. Sometimes the gauge moves, sometimes it gets stuck on the bent face. Full disclosure here!

I don't know if the forge hits welding temps or not. I've never cranked it up full blast. The farrier I bought it from swears it would, but I'm not sure.

The electric ignition works great- usually lights on the first shot.

$225 plus shipping, or come pick it up in northwest Arkansas. :)
