HELP! With editing

I started a topic that has really taken off in the general forum (Combat Knives) and I made the mistake of having myself notified when there is a reply. After sixty some replies it is getting tiring, but it didn't seem like I could un-notify on the edit area. Is there a way to do this without deleting the message?
