I Feel Stupid Today

One of my Mammoth Mnandis came without the clip attached. I decided to remove the screw and reattach the clip. Unfortunately I tried to install it at the pivot rather than the correct spot. Confusion passed into rationality (finally) and I installed it correctly. No one saw this occur...so did it actually happen?
