Is this knife legal to own for a civilian in Canada?

I cannot tell if it is a switch blade or what it is :)

If it is legal or not what do users think of it? Is there anything better you would recommend?

Thank you,

JC

Looks like an auto to me... dont see that one coming across the border.

Just get yourself a decent unassisted flipper. The action will be better and more reliable long term. The knife in the vid would likely count as an auto since the switch activates the blade action rather than physically manipulating the blade. Seems pointless to me on this knife as the switch is in the same location and sticks out as much as a flipper tab would anyway rather than tucked neatly in the scale as on many autos. I don't own a S&W knife but have not heard anything positive about them. There are some decent assisted flippers out there too but I much prefer unassisted knives. You could post your needs/wants and budget and wait for suggestions, filter out the snarky replies and research the suggestions that seem appealing to you.

button on the handle. It would be classed as an auto, as that is the legal definition. So no dice on that one.
