Knife with a wooden handle and sheath

    Does anyone have any idea of what this knife was used for? The handle and the sheath are quite nicely carved. The knife is at least 60 years old.

    India made tourist knife. These are also found paired with a serving fork as decorative carving sets.

    I have always thought that it was bought in Africa in the 50's, but as it looks quite similar to one in your picture, I guess you are right. Thanks for the answer.
