Kydex too tight ?

Where is it tight? If it is the blade... just apply some masking tape to the blade to thicken it a bit and use a hairdryer on the back of the sheath to soften up the kydex. Leave the knife in the sheath and let it cool/harden.
If it is handle tightness, do the same but with the handle.
Using boiling water will remove likely ruin the fit of your sheath.
That should fix it up.
