I like them all!Is it me or does anyone else here find low layer count Damascus more attractive than the higher layer count? It is less busy.

I bet they do Unfortunately those techniques are far above me.I have noticed some folks using both low layer twist and even very "course" laddered crushed W damascus to nice effect on kitchen knives over the last couple of years. i saw a Michael Rader gyuto where he had done low layer W's with like 1/2 inch wide "stripes" and it looked fantastic.
