Pretty sure that's a Euro (Basic) 4, there...

I don't really recall specs, but I think it's .25" or better on the thickness...

If I'm correct, then yes, you picked the wrong time... By several years...
 
Yep that model has been and gone, so has the more recent B4 offering (but they are still regulars in the market[lace at the moment).
