So I want the old bull belt in the thickest they make it 1.75? But I got an issue I can't put my belt buckle on these belts due to the fact they have non removable buckles. Am I correct in this or am I way off?

The buckles are definitely riveted on permanently.
Carefully drill the rivets out and replace with some short Chicago screws( commonly found in aluminum, but brass is available, they have a wide head on both the screw and nut ends) also called binding screws or binding posts, because they are used to bind stacks of punched paper together.
