So if your a Pit Bull owner, and make no apologies for it, post your pics. Ive had these dog my entire life, from earliest memory of my Grandfathers pit bull named "Spot".... I tell ya that old dog had 9 lives +, but thats another story.

Ive tried to own different breeds since ive settled down in my later years, but nothing else fills that void.

Heres my latest, hes about a year old, and was "rescued" from some kid that paid big $ for him yet didnt want to take good care of him.

Real laid back, calm dog but pure hell on a hide pole. Going to check him on hogs later this summer or early fall.

He looks pretty dorky/happy in that second pic. Great looking dog there.

Nice I love pits, had em all my life but now they are banned in Toronto...I just recently bought a bulldog puppy, I hope that turns out well. So far so good.

He looks like a Midnight Cowboy or Eli/Bullyson match dog.
Did you get the pedigree with the dog?

I dont have the breeding on the dog, trying to get the papers or at least how he's bred but right now its an unknown.

I do think you are on the right track though, ive owned many Eli dogs (most right from Floyd Beaudreaux or Jerry Clemmons), and have been around them alot.

My best guess at this point would be heavy Eli or Rascal, hope to find out for sure at some point.

here are a few more pics, these were a month or 2 back-

Here's one of Nyla looking down the path on a walk.
She was gave to me at around 7 months, by a family that didn't want her after her "puppy cuteness" wore off.. A very hyper and rowdy dog I can't turn her loose she wants to fight strange dogs and even cattle. She's very loving with her dog and human family. She's a bit crazy I've had Pits before and she's a little more edgy than the others.

Here she is on her slide run in the backyard. (She is the official guard of the backyard)

Heres my girl and boy. Boys name is Mason, girls name is Penny. Penny was rescued last year from Texas, SHe was found on side of the road half dead at around 6 weeks old. Some lawyer in Kingston Texas paid to have here brought from damn near death and boy is she a handfull now!!! When we got Penny she weighed 10 pounds our vet estimated she was around 12 weeks old, now at almost a year shes a very healthy 48lbs, not a ounce of fat on her. Its amazing what a raw food diet can do.Masons old and honary tho, He dont do well with youngsters,LOL I love these dogs like they are my children!!! I have also always had pits, growing up my Grandfather worked pits on his cows, Its amazing a pit can lay a 1600lbs bull down without hurting it. I consider the breed to be the best in the world!!

Your welcome. I don't go much anymore a good friend lost a great dog and it kinda got me thinking . Not saying won't use him again but these days I have been useing them for deer tracking and bird and small game hunting. They are good gun dogs and it ain't so hard on um.

HI Joe, ive always been interested in the dogos, but never been around any. From what i gather they are very similar to good performance bred pit bulls.

I believe the "Mayday" dogs were real heavy Red Boy/Jocko, never had any of them but supposed to be there for the long haul.

Looking fwd. to getting in the woods with Amos, may take him down to Florida real soon... this post has got me excited to get out there.... The guys I will be hunting with use varying types of curs to track/bay, and pits & pit/Americans to catch.

Matt keep me posted on when you get your dog out. He is good looking . Dogo's got a bit more nose than a pit . A buddy is putting a tuff female pit a mayday dog to a good hunting greyhound should be an interesting lurcher. My puppy is showing some pit tendances . I do not know if thats a good thing or a bad thing:D

Joe, the lurchers are something I would pursue if I were out West... or anywhere that they could really open up, just too thick down here.

Making a call tonight to hopefully get some info. on a hog hunt. Will be down in Florida.

I must admit though, im a bit nervous, ive grown really attached to this dog and there is always that chance they get opened up and bleed out right there. Hell knowing him he wont even look twice at a hog unless its got a donut tied around its neck!
