Privacy Settings and New Profile Posts

It seems that the default privacy setting for who can view profile information and profile posts is for 'all visitors' instead of 'members only' like the old software. People are using the profile posts like the old visitor messages and sharing personal information like email addresses and phone numbers. These are showing up in the New Profile Posts on the main page and can also be viewed by anyone without being logged in to the site.

It looks like one has to be logged in, but profile posts are still displayed on the home page.
