You guessed it.
This is where prototypes get posted.

Some are totally experimental.
Others are for sale.

Basically this is where I get to play with new ideas, new steels, new handle materials, and other fun.

Things posted will be a fair price.
They do not include a sheath.
I can make sheaths for an additional 20-50$. Depending on size.

First prototype.

Modified Parasite.

Vanadis 8 PM tool steel.
62-63HRC from Peter's with cryo.
Thin edge.
I can add G10 handles.

$200 shipped and it's yours.
An extra 20 gets you a sheath.

Only defect is the edge bevel isnt perfectly even. I was way too excited to test the steel.

Look at that edge o_O. Hope he's not batoning with it :D
Ohh no.
I have a feeling this client is VERY skilled in culinary use. Hes practically giddy with excitement

But.....this will be tough to let go, lol

*to be fair I have the kitchen skills of a 10 year old.

Quick kitchen knife update.
That knife will be reground to have a thinner spine after I return from California.

It's an absolute potato killer.
But. The onion slicing isnt quite where I would like it.

Colin, don’t forget about the competition chopper we discussed in M4. This is your old pal Ken from Rhode Island who’s loyalty was legendary before you went all Hollywood on me.

If anyone saw the Ig post about that 10V chunk....
I'll give you a hint.

The oldest model I have. Has not been made in some time. A very long time.

Some vanadis 8 projects. Getting packaged up today and going to PHT tomorrow.
Target hardness will be 64HRC via Larrins protocol in knife engineering.

Excited to see how this performs with the new heat treat. I ran it a few years back and PHT used Bohlers method. Came back at 62/63. Didn't seem to have the edge holding and sharpenability I was hoping for. Basically 10V but more tough and a bit less edge holding.

Holy crap a Mutant Throwback!
This was made back in 2019 when I was blasting through knives. I almost forgot this knife.
K390
65-66HRC

A client on IG talked to me on Instagram today and asked if I could sharpen it for him. (Should come in soon)
It still holds its edge and he hasn't sharpened it since he got it in 2019. Damn!
I'm gonna run the 400 super vitrified then go to the 20/14 micron stone.Screenshot_20220519-135306_Instagram.jpgScreenshot_20220519-135313_Instagram.jpg
