Thanks all for the nice comments. I always feel a little bit exposed after posting a video, but I love knives so much, I over look that insecurity of mine.
It was fun! Nothing like a new to me knife delivered right to my door!
I'm really digging the Badger a bit more right now...but I think the GW will be an EDC knife on my hikes.
One more in route, a Satin Jack, have no idea what to expect except for pure awesomeness
I hope you can make it to the Knob Creek pre-show. That is the best place in the world to handle and feel different Busse models in my opinion.....well except for Monte's house.
I'll have to admit, you cracked me up when slowly taking the cardboard sheath off the camo BATAC.
I think from the video that your initial reaction to the BATAC was that the handles might me a smidgen too big for comfortable use. Have you looked much at the ASH-1 model? Although the blade is slightly bigger the handle feels smaller and more ergonomical. The ASH-1 is the most comfortable Busse knife I have felt.
My hand measures 7 3/4" from the tip of my middle finger to the first wrinkle in my wrist. My wife's measures 6 1/4". She has felt all the mid size Busse knives that have both passed through and made a home with me.......and this is her favorite "big knife". Her and I obviously define big knives differently.
The ASH-1 can be found in three thicknesses .17" (skinny), .22" (LE and coated LE blanks), and .32" (combat grade and a tank!). I would imagine the .17" or .22" would be the best fit for you.
