Vintage Sheffield Pocket knives

Hi,
I have just bought three pocket knives, (1) Harrison Bros & Howson Navy Rigger stamped 8 (2) Repeat Needham Bros Sheffield (3) G Butler Sheffield Multitool. not sure what this was used for? . Would anyone know when they were produced? era etc. Thanks for your help Anthony

Welcome. Used the same as Swiss Army knives are used now. Can opener, cap lifter, screwdrivers, awl, corkscrew, drill, ... that nice little wrench dookickey...

BTW if you are going to continue to buy old pocket knives you must own Levines Guide to Knives and Their Values, 3rd ed or earlier.
