I love the sandblasted random one!
I also prefer them because their lack of liners make them lighter than their endura/delica counterparts.
I prefer the 5600 series because of the size, I don't want a watch that attracts attention like some of the larger G's seem to.

I'd try using a q-tip soaked in nail polish remover to clean the lock face and the end of the lock bar, in my experience a little oil on the lock...
