My favorite "cheap" knives are the Kershaw RAM, Minigrip, Storm...arguably the Ripple is cheap...the old D'Allara drop point was a good deal...

I'm a huge RAM fan (have owned two, also got a MUDD) but you're the first person I've heard to like the thumbstud design.
I don't know why everyone seems to think ZTs suck at slicing. Most of my ZTs have actually been really good that.
