    Douglass Field-S Oil Lighter

I think I did but not sure if I did it properly. The PM system still seems confusing but maybe it's just me.

Another vendor carries them also (not sure if I can mention here) and recently has the Field S in stock but I waited too long and they are gone. I signed up for notification.

    Douglass Field-S Oil Lighter

The Neo series sell in the mid to upper $20 range (if you can find one) and as mentioned, mine has held fluid for well over a month. I don't, however, know how long it would last when used regularly as I only test it a few times weekly. The seal with a screw down cap and o-ring seem to be very...

    Douglass Field-S Oil Lighter

. Gotta agree with unwisefool. If you like the overall feel of the lighter and the brass, I think you will find the Douglass in a completely different league. I am debating on selling my Neo and getting the Field S which is ridiculous for me as I have no need for a lighter. I just really...

    Douglass Field-S Oil Lighter

We're talking about the Douglass knock-off, right? I got my Douglass Neo (authentic) and IMCO both over a month ago and both still fire up after filling once when I got them. My Douglass looks like a great seal which is why I got the Neo and it seems like it will go indefinitely under storage. I...

    Hard Use Folders?

Sorry for the typo. Obviously I meant 1970s (I'm not quite that old). It is a Craftsman and only the screwdriver locks. Thanks for the comments.

    Hard Use Folders?

This old guy, which I have posted before, has seen some hard use but I got it in the 1670s before I was into knives (which I am now getting out of). My recent stuff was like most of the pics I see of pricey knives barely used for letter openers or just kept on a night stand. I have used this one...

    Douglass Field-S Oil Lighter

Very nice. Because of this thread I did the same thing and bought a couple lighters that I have no need for. I guess that is part of the fun of collecting stuff. I got an original IMCO and a Douglass Neo. I like the two on the left. Do they appear to be real brass or a coating?

Wearing the GW 5000 for a while.

Don't get burned ! Turbo Mode (Flashlights)

I tried the Acebeam UC 15 to get high output with reasonable spacing between modes. To get the best performance it requires the use of lithium ion batteries. It won't perform like a 18650 light as it uses two AAAs or 10440s but has red and UV lights built in. I find that the turbo is really not...

    Douglass Field-S Oil Lighter

One of the 3 authorized dealers has them in stock now. I just received, today, the Neo 1. Not sure if I will keep it as I may move up to the S.

    Douglass Field-S Oil Lighter

Just received an original NOS IMCO 6700 and ordered a Douglass Neo Model 1. I have no idea what I will do with them but I guess that's part of the fun.

    Douglass Field-S Oil Lighter

I ordered a supposedly authentic IMCO 6700 NOS so will see what shows up. I will try the Magnetic trick to see if it is real. I've been looking at the Douglass lineup for quite a while and it appears you need a bit of luck to find the one(s) you want in stock. I really like the S and L models...

One knife for the rest of your life

I completely agree but was trying to keep to the theme. OP didn't say one-blade knives so I chose the SAK. It is virtually impossible to get all to agree on one knife (flashlight, watch pistol etc.) but I think it's kinda fun. Some assume the knife is just for having a pocket knife, some are...

One knife for the rest of your life

The SAK Executive. There I did it; chose only one!!! For better compliance maybe the thread should be "if the government kicked your door down and confiscated your knives but let you keep one......
