The unofficial, non binding, carries no weight, 2021 forum knife possibility discussion thread

I do love the #86. Nice and hefty in hand, still quite manageable in the pocket. I'm in for one for sure.

    Lets talk GEC!

Aside from maybe the #73, the #15 is GEC's flagship pattern. They haven't produced any in over 2 1/2 years, I think it's high time for some more.

#35 Beer and Sausage Bar Tool Knife

As someone with a curly beard, one that's not even that gnarly, I wouldn't run that thing through mine for a $20 bill.. Looks painful just sitting there.

#35 Beer and Sausage Bar Tool Knife

    I. Just. Don't. Get it. For 3 years, everyone has been clamoring for a scout knife, or even a stockman, on the #35 frame. It would be the perfect size for either. Then, GEC announces there will be more #35s; the excitement grows. It'll have 3 springs; oh they're actually going to do it...

JE Made Lannys Clip, 2 GEC, and 2 Northwoods

I'll take that #48 Beavertail if still available.

    Lets talk GEC!

I reckon its good for my wallet, but the combination of rising secondary market prices and the fact that they're on pace to produce, maybe, 8 different patterns this year, the excitement for GEC just isn't what it used to be for me. And that really bums me out. In terms of a "grail," I missed...

2020 GEC #62 Easy Pocket Congress and Pocket Carver Thread

Charlie, I actually had this discussion earlier in the year on AAPK. (Shameless copy & paste) "The #13 and #61 are pretty much identical in length, (#61 might actually be a fraction of a MM longer) but the #13 brings half an inch more main blade to the table (#13 2 7/8" #61 2 3/8".) In terms...

2020 GEC #62 Easy Pocket Congress and Pocket Carver Thread

Glad they decided on the #62 instead of the #61. The #13 kind of made the #61 obsolete. I appreciate the pocket friendliness of the #62 though. I collect acrylic, so obviously the unicorn is coming home with me. I'm not crazy, not will I ever be, about the gimmicky banana shield, but I love...

    Let's talk Northwoods

Recieved mine today.. I would list the pull as a LIGHT 4. Walk & talk only decent, somewhat sluggish on closing. The bone has some light imperfections.. Kinda bummed, honestly.

    Let's talk Northwoods

Darn, if I had known about those, I woulda gone back and tried to find a Delta or Bear Lake.

    Let's talk Northwoods

Jesus. The blue were sold out before I could finish my payment at 16:02. Unfortunately, that's as fast as the site would go. Did manage to grab a green at least. My first successful Northwoods drop after 15+ months of trying.

2019 GEC 86 Oil Field Jack and Forum Knife Picture Thread

This 1st batch didn't turn out nearly as handsome as I had envisioned them being when I reserved mine.

    GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

I can't believe it. I had the option of any of the 4 covers and went with... Micarta?? I might be broken. But seriously. I think the amber bone is the dud of the group. I mean, its still handsome, and folks seem to really like it, but it just looks as dull as B&W television to me.

GEC 29 Osage Orange PPP Orientation?

My acrylic #29 is reversed as well.

    GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

Listen guys, anyone who knows me on here well knows I'm not really a fan of micarta. But this particular run of natural linen look EXTREMELY handsome.

    2019 GEC 29 Humpback/Stockyard Whittler Thread

Wish they would have made either the Snakewood or Bloodwood one with satin blades.. Satin bladed Northfields are the epitome of class.

    2019 GEC 92 Eureka Jack

    That is extremely unfortunate.
