What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks. I wasn't sure I would like it until I saw it in person. Maybe I should have tried for a Glitter Gold TC - maybe I would have liked those as well;)

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

No, it actually came from the factory like that.

    Favorite traditional pattern

Barlows and Boys Knives. A year ago I would have said both are too small but they really seem to be my wheelhouse.

    Trifecta of Traditionals

Even though I carry my Micarta 85 nearly every work day and I just received the Boker today, I think these are my three favorites.

What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

I believe you may be right! I didn’t really need another brand on my radar, but these are nearly on par with my GECs and Albers knives and a bit easier to find. (That is until boneheads like me post how nice they are).

What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

This one showed up in today’s mail. I am impressed! I don’t believe this will be my last Boker Barlow.

    LIONSTEEL CAPLIFTER BARLOW

I'm getting a little excited about these. Mike's last update (back in March) was mid-May. Not sure if that still holds or not but hopefully we're getting close.

Boker "Tree Brand Classic" Solingen knives

I’d kind of like to add a Boker or three this year. These Swell End Jacks, the Club Knife, the Barlows and Barlow Primes all look interesting. I’ve got a few other commitments coming up in May but after that I’ll take a closer look at these ones. I think these Barlow Integrals also look nice.

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Humid day doing boiler inspections today so I swapped out the trusty 85 for this guy. I really love this years color and I’m happy to finally have a Pioneer X.

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Forgot to mention, I do RenWax my covers and blades. I assume that wears off at some point but it probably helps prevent pepper spots for a while.

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It’s my favorite as well. My son “borrowed” my Dead Skunk so I bought a Cherry Bone to replace it. I actually like it quite a bit as well and carried it last weekend. Many of my GECs have a nice patina but while I’ve used the caplifter and screwdriver quite a bit, I’ve only used the blade for...

The unofficial, non binding, carries no weight, 2021 forum knife possibility discussion thread

I think I'm still firmly in the smooth white bone camp (followed closely by the red soup bone and chestnut jigged bone) but I don't think there's an option I won't be satisified with. I do agree with the sentiment regarding some of the materials that tend to vary more (Apaloosa Bone, Ironwood...

    Lets talk GEC!

In the 38 English Whittler thread, @mcc850 said (and I quote) “Dadgum we have had a great year from GEC.”. That got me to thinkin, here’s my GEC year in review (so far). Dadgum it has been a great year!
