Texastony ,Had some ,need some, want some-more Beckers.... down to only 2 (BK2 & BK11 both wearing Micarta britches)
1st time I meet Ethan was SHOT 2011 ,he was Calling Moose so we could talk ! lol
Beckers I have owned thru the years (Don't ask me about them, They are Gone :D)
it is the Scout model
dave C is Scandi grind and a tad shorter
my buddy has the PLSK1 (Dave knife) compared to my Scout
PLSK1 on top & Scout on bottom
You have the Pathfinder series and the PLSK1 is Dave knife the PLSK2 is similar to Dave except smaller & my knife is the PLSK Scout & then...
I prefer the 01 steel & BHK handles fit my hands almost perfect & are more comfortable too me...... I enjoy a great Flat Grind over Convex, BRK sells you Convex , BHK gives you a choice , all edges have pro's and con's but whether you chip/ding/roll a flat grind most folks do not have a issue...
simple the BHK PLSK1 Scout model is one of the Best BHK models and to me it beats any Bark River model I have ever owned.
here is my scout,I own other BHK but this is my favorite :)
5/32" thick,01steel,GCM,10 7/8" OAL, 5 1/4" blade
I have owned Bravo 1's,Bravo 2, Gunny, Fox river , Fox...
I had my Katadyn Vario & Base camp + my other gear ;) so water was not an issue, had ramen noodles & trail mix ...I coulda made a week :D + the fish were biting even though the water was rough as all get out
took less that 30 minutes to bail out, gett her back floating and turn the boat nose towards the waves.......
Catfish, simple hot rock cooker... ,takes longer per say but tastes just fine. flip'em spine down and eat them from the inside out.... ;)
Trip started off Great and then the wind & waves kicked up :D cutting the weekend trip short
