    Thrifty Thursday... Cheap Traditional Knives

These were pristine Leathermans. I happened to be looking for these exact models at around the same time I found them. One was a P4 (with advertising on it); the other was a black Micra. Shouldn't every Friday be "Black Friday"

Case Medium Jack (22087/SS): I found one of these knives in the basement of the house when I moved in. After cleaning it up I carried it for awhile until corrosion took its toll: The back spring broke, and it fell apart. However, the covers still looked almost as good as new. The first number...

    Old Friends Friday

I used to consider the Case medium stockman as the ultimate whittling knife: a tried and true design that did everything I needed it to do. Although my whittling days are over (arthritis), and I've adjusted my needs to one or two blades, I still consider it an elegant design for a three blade knife.
