seriously, I’m just trying to put out some positive experience.
It spreads faster.
Reading glowing reviews about stuff is boring, and usually not very informative.
I can’t find anything wrong at all of the products I’ve gotten from either of the brothers. And as I’ve been...
All I’ve been saying, is that I’ve had very positive dealings with the guy, were super nice to me when they had no reason to be, and he and his sap making brother (who had 0 part in any of this) make great stuff.
It wasn’t my intention to revive anything old and ongoing.
Look, I’m sorry for how I’ve come across.
It’s been a very long time since I posted anything here in BF.
Prac-Tac is what I was looking for, but since the forum was changed from when I was here last, and I couldn’t find the right tab.
that’s a Fosters coin sap! Very nice quality!! YKK zipper. One of these was my first piece from Foster. The leather they’re made of where very well as long as you’re not dumb and give them to your dog to play with, or leave them outside on a rainy day.
If you continually add more and more...
This doesn’t explain how literally thousands of guys can have positive interactions with a pair of brothers with nothing but positive things to say.
To summarily dismiss a maker and his wares because someone succeeded in riling him up after months of emails, and then belligerent...
I’ve read it, it’s trash.
I’ve read the emails. Eye roll.
You're letting one guys (self inflicted) negative experience get spun into a tale of intrigue and criminality. (I laugh)
I’ve known the Bros for years, and that thread is garbage.
I’ve read the link, I’ve read the “damning” emails...
I was around when the whole stupid thing went down.
It’s so amazing to me how anyone sees anything but sour grapes and a spoiled, entitled guy harassing a maker till he gets huffy with someone who isn’t used to hearing “no”
Smearing the Bros...
After years and years of inactivity, I thought I’d make a small come back with a small review on what I’ve been doing since I last logged in with bladeforms. (Man the place looks different!!)
When I was on here previously I was on a large and long winded Kabar/Becker kick that also included a...
'Preciate it man, truly.
Catch y'all on the flip side.
(If I do score some sweet steel (Spydie, Barkie, or Becker) in the near future, that'd bring me back for a while to bask in the glory of a new acquisition. :)
TTFN (ta-ta for now!)
I've been a (non paying) member on BF for a couple years here, and for a while, I've been spending most of my time here on the BKT sub forum. My last Becker was the 21, a gift from my pops a yr ago last November. :)
I haven't gotten a new one since, and this last summer I went...
I keep meaning to throw on a few pics of these two antique early 1900s engineers bolos that I got from my wife's grandfather before he passed away.
They're genuine Collins, and one I've shined up a bit and put a rude edge on it, the other needs re-handled, and I've left alone.
Well, I figured as much, but I'd think that a dropped tanto would be better in general for knifey tasks, and still be car-hood approved.
But I guess, the majority ruled with their wallets.
Same thing has happened recently with several Becker models.
Just because the public doesn't buy up a...
That tanto design looks a bit more "durable" that the other ones used on the fighting utility.
Any idea why it's so rare/why they don't make more?
It must be the drop on the point. 1095 crovan is tough stuff, and anything made out of it is going to be good, and when heat treated by Kabar...
What is the original function of this blade design?
Is it primarily a woods tool that can flex into a tactical role?
It reminds me of Persia meets Alamo, in regards to its shape.
Is the swedge a true false edge? Is that to ease penetration when say pig hunting for instance?
Is looks like...
