    Who EDC's a Svord Peasant

I used to carry one regularly, the mini, but haven’t for a couple years.

How do you like the bushingless pivot of the Inkosi vs Sebenza?

I quickly learned in my 21 that the action and overall fit is better after a full take down, if the blade and pivot are the last parts assembled. I started out first trying to line everything up by the blade pivot as I have done with all other knives, but after a few attempts discovered that...

How do you like the bushingless pivot of the Inkosi vs Sebenza?

That’s very helpful info and exactly what I was looking for. While I don’t really mind adjusting the pivot tension on my other knives, I appreciate the bushing for being what it is, the extra mile gone to make as good a product as possible. It’s nice to hear it carried over to the other models.

Recommendation? Grease VS Oil, the great debate...

I don’t remember what CRK grease felt like, for the last eight months to a year or so I have been using various oils, generally liking 3-1 oil or Lucas gun oil best, but recently cleaned my 21 and tried some real moly grease I have for air guns, it was good but not awesome, different feel than...

How do you like the bushingless pivot of the Inkosi vs Sebenza?

I will keep an eye out for that, but likely won’t have the funds available by then. Kids, a small farm, bills and home repairs eat most of my checks.

How do you like the bushingless pivot of the Inkosi vs Sebenza?

Did you mean the Inkosi is heavier? Or did you actually mean the Insingo blade shape is significantly heavier?

How do you like the bushingless pivot of the Inkosi vs Sebenza?

I have a 21 Bocote that I love dearly and carry daily, but I want a PJ to take over edc duties at work (auto mechanic) I really like the bushing pivot, it’s nice to be able to just pop the blade out for cleaning and lube and reassembly without tinkering with pivot tension to achieve no play...

Why is the thread titled “ expensive knives that look cheap” (paraphrase) locked?

Yeah, I’m not sure if it was the OP, but I don’t understand why anyone would close an active and engaging thread. There are only so many things to talk about and many threads get little to no traffic, I hate to see one that was interesting me closed with no reason stated.

Why is the thread titled “ expensive knives that look cheap” (paraphrase) locked?

It’s an interesting thread and no one was being rude or out of line, no bashing or name calling, nothing political or offensive, why is it locked?

Recommendation? Hogue Deka wharncliffe or clip point?

Thanks for the feedback, with as immensely popular as the bugout is, I assumed more people here would have experience with the Hogue Deka. Pretty sure I would have gotten more comments if I had asked about some overly thick, expensive, impractical, folding, tactical edc cleaver.

What knife have you carried the most this year?

I have had a Leatherman Rebar on my belt daily since I got it roughly four years ago. It gets used daily and is looking a bit worn out at this point but keeps on going. Knife wise, I have mostly carried my Bocote Inlay Large Sebenza 21 for the last year.

Recommendation? Hogue Deka wharncliffe or clip point?

    I guess this isn’t a popular model.

Recommendation? Hogue Deka wharncliffe or clip point?

For those of you with a Hogue Deka, especially the wharncliffe version, how do you like the blade grind? It looks thicker towards the back of the blade and thins out on the front half, similar to the Mora 2000 and Kansbal. Is this an accurate observation? For those you that have or have...

Manix 2 s110v lw Vs Benchmade Super Freek

Has the Spyderco Manix 2 XL been discontinued???

I got mine from the Spyderco store in Golden, CO. Try going there and see if they have any.

Recommendation? naithawk alternatives / retractable blade knife

Columbia River knife and tool used to make a model called the “rollock”, I hade one for years, neat little knife and rather unique, I believe it’s a reproduction of an original but the name slips my mind at the moment. It’s discontinued, but may still be available somewhere, I think I paid...

Off Topic Stopped caring about edge-retention

I prefer to have a hair popping edge and resharpen often rather than a long working edge. I wish S30V and the other S??V steels weren't so prevalent, they make sense for the majority of the knife buying public that appreciates a working edge for a longer period and may not be as caring or even...

Is it getting hard to purchase in the 400 to 600 range for USA?

@Steely_Gunz, that’s a very insightful post. Helps me make some sense of the insanity that is the current situation. As someone who was making decent money before Covid, and who has always been regularly employed since I was legally able to work, it’s been hard for me to be unemployed, even...
