So sorry to hear of his passing. I always looked forward to reading his posts, as his perspective was always well informed. As MikeH said, he was a stellar trader—and gentleman—here on the forums. Also had a great sense of humor. One of the best.
Same here. Plus after looking closer at the D2 BD specs, the blade’s not all that much shorter or thinner than my modded S5LE’s, which are some of my favorite knives all time. Could be why I didn’t buy a BD earlier.

On coated Busse blades the flat-side bevel is often somewhat more prominent than in this pic. The convex-side bevel is wider on some asym models than on others, also.
