    Either way seems fine, I've heard of someone oiling a blade then heating it over a flame for better adherence, but putting the blade in an oven seems more effective.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoIO8YOpyN4 The smoke point of flax is 225F, so you might have to retemper your blade afterwards. Other than that, it leaves a very nice durable effect. What do you think? Anyone tried this before?

    Hmm...what's in a knife name?

    Foe-hammer, Goblin-cleaver, Sting Tolkien was pretty good at naming blades :) Can't say I dislike the idea of naming knives, but if a knife doesn't earn the name, there's not much point, right? Sadly all my little khuk does it open boxes, and I don't think "Box-bane" is a very amazing name...
