Does anyone have a 0 Gravity Pen by Diplomat, made in Germany. I just picked one up at Staples for around $9. It's supposed to be able to write upside down, -50 to 400 degree tempatures, over grease, etc. I bought it on a whim, and I was wondering if I got cool new toy or piece of junk. Thanks.

I think it's not a copy, but some kind of a european line of fisher pens. I had a guarantee question to fisher usa, they said i should contact diplomat in germany.

I've been using the pen for a few days and I am very unhappy. The ink builds up/leaks at the writing end and causes smudges and ink smears.

I have one. Got it as a gift a few months ago. It did ok at first, but then started doing the same as yours. I write left-handed, and wind up with ink all over my hand every time I use it. It has also gotten hard to open/close.
I like the fact that it has the keyring attachment, and that it's retractable (a pocketful of ink would quickly end that "like", though).
Something I just thought of while typing this was that Fisher makes refills for all sorts of pens. Wonder if any of them would fit the zero-G?
Overall, I like the design, but the quality just isn't there.
Here's a pic for those who haven't seen it (with a couple of Fisher bullets):

I bought one about a year or so ago although i dont write with it daily ive never had any problems with it in any way!. Ive also got the diplomat AL1 SPACETEC which i do use daily and also have never encountered any leaks or problems I LIKE BOTH OF MINE!. Maybe you both got one that had production flukes or something, any way just my two cents worth .

I have a Spacetec as well. I've never had any problems with leaking, but there is a build up of ink on the nib every so often (read every day). Not anything really annoying though. Fishers are better though.

Orm.
