Is the only difference between the 0560 and the 0561 the scale color? Also, any idea when these things will be available to us mere mortals who don't have their computer or phone rigged up to buzz them whenever any store gets one?:D

Hey, yeah the only difference is the scale color and the 0561 is kinda more sought after because of the different color so they are harder to find and are typhically sold for more.
Anyways, it's hard to tell when some places will have them in stock. Though a lot of 0560's pop up here on the exchange for less than retail. So I think that may be your best bet. Just keep an eye out and you'll find one.
I finally got mine about a month ago I believe.

How long have they been out?

It's off and on really. As all the preorders were filled when they were first coming out. Some places will get them temporarily in stock but you can check one day and see it and then the next and they'll be gone. When they are in stock it isn't for long usually. You may try KershawGuy as he seems to have things in stock when no one else does. Sometimes places like Blade HQ may have a few in stock but it's truly hit and miss. I would check KershawGuy and if he doesn't have them I'm sure you could contact him for a restock date? Or you can always check out the exchange forums here as they pop up quite often.

This one is going to be my new "car knife" I have retired my original plain edge liner lock Benchmade AFCK. It is now my "desk knife."
Good to hear. I can't go a day without mine in my pocket. What a knife.

I have a 560 and it's getting more and more difficult for me to disengage the lock (ti frame) with each hard flip. It's so bad that I only us the thumb stud to gently lock it. Is there anything I can do myself to remediate this? Than you.

aatruong, went thru the same thing, make sure there is no oil (dry) on the lock bar. Use a pencil (lead), grind it in alittle were the lock bar touches the blade.

Got mine. Big SOB, ain't it? Size wise, is this thing kind of slotted right between a 3.5 inch XM 18 and an XM 24 or is it closer in the size to the 24?

Flipper action is very nice, but it seems to me that the thumb stud is fairly useless other than as a stop pin because the detent has to be pretty strong on a knife of this type. Without the flipper "trigger" I think that this thing might qualify legally as a two handed opener in place like Germany.;)

Are you pushing the lockbar in when you use the thumbstud? The thumbstud on mine works just as well as the flipper. Jut like anything, you have to break it in a bit. The KVT bearings are very cool too.
