Hello all, here's my Friday knife... I just got this new 110 Gold Etch H.H. Buck's Smithy with a anvil in Gold Etch on the blade and a anvil custom year mark with some Beautiful Cherry Wood handles in the mail Wed... It's very hard to take pics of this sweet knife with it's mirror polish and gold etch blade on a cloudy day... It a sweet knife... Sorry about the pics...

Well anyway here's the story on this 110... It was made for the Oregon Knife Show last weekend... There was only five of them made like this for the show... That's what Joe Houser said anyway... Well, anyway I got this text from Oregon (Steve) from the forum... Telling me about this knife... I asked him if he could send me a picture of it to my cell phone... And he did... Boy, did it look sweet... So I asked Steve if he could pick me up one if he had enough money to cover me, that is and I would paypal him the money for it... I get this e-mail from Steve telling me that the knife was mine with no strings attach... I about fell off my chair, telling myself no way... So I e-mailed Steve back and asked him are you sure about this, I can paypal you the money... He tells me it's yours... So I go tell my son and his wife what just happen and I show them the picture of the knife on my cell phone... They said that's so cool, and did he really just give it to you... I said yes can believe that... I even called my mom and told her all about it and she said that there are still some good people out there in this world... Boy, is she right... Steve is one of those good guys and we need more like him in this world... I can't thank him enough... No one has ever gave me something like this but my family... Thanks a Million Steve for this Beautiful knife... It's going in my show case...

Very cool Armand! It looks like they used the same blade as they used in the Blacksmith Shop LE in 2002.

Plumberdv your knife very cool too! Thank's

Armand, nice knife ...great story. Interesting how Buck keeps everything, and someone finds it, and puts it to use, eventually. I'll bet Hoyt never threw anything away, and found a use for everything in his shop.

Very cool knife and story guys. Hat's off to you Oregon!

Do I remember seeing the same etch from much earlier without the big anvil, hammer and knife on the left?

Thanks SH, it's the first Time i've seen the new buck logo on a 110 inlay... I think 110Dave had some 110s with the new Buck logo on the inlay etch in them...
yes at one time i had all 5 that had been made...
on request two were sent back to buck for incluson in their museaum
i still have the remaining 3 some place here there is a picture of all 5
as i was told by dave the vp that gave them to me
the laser file for them had been deleated
so thoes 5 were all there would ever be
three were outline cut in, 2 were relife cut so borders stood out
so three were alike with differing inks in the cut out lines
( it was two of these sent to Joe when said it would be nice to have for historical display)
the other two were one of one each with one kinda of a neg image cut out of the other
so i have the only one of each that are not held by BKI
they will be on dispaly at the blade show in my odd and rare case...
