In a previous thread someone suggested slimming the scales...
Now it is much closer to the 500 in thickness...AND no pesky rivet heads!
Very comfortable both in hand, and in pocket.
I hope I didn't void my warranty:rolleyes::cool:

Anyway...Thanx for looking...

That's definitely a one of a kind!

Nice job at customizing it to fit your needs.

Cool!! Thats the first 112 I have seen that treatment done to. There are a few 110's floating around very similar. Let us know how you like carrying it.

My guess would be that Buck won't warranty it, based on past comments about not dealing with custom work.

Very nice sitflyer,

That "56" is a real looker (112/2=56);)

That is a beautiful customization of the 112. It really looks factory. as far as warranty, that would be of little concern to me , as Buck knives are built to last---forever. A broken blade or just needing the spa treatment, or sharpening is usually all they are sent back for. If I misuse a knife and damage it, it's on me. Again that is a beautiful job--congrats, and kudo's to you.

LOL :D
Thanx jb,
I am liking the way it rides in pocket of jeans now, less obtrusive and lighter.
Cut up a bunch of cardboard today and the grip is still very secure.
I LIKE IT !

Very nice!
Forgive me for this obvious noob question... but what is the one below it in your first pictures? A "Prince" perhaps?
Thanks,
Alex

Ahhhh! Thanks. Now I know the name of the latest object of my desire! ;)
Yes pukkoman, the 500 Duke is a very nice folder... This one is a script tang stamp with linen rucarta scales and stainless steel bolsters. I beleive the blade to be 440C on this version.

That looks great! Is there any worry about the scales getting loose? It looks like the heads of the rivets have been sanded off. Or are the rivets on the 112 more flush than those on a 110?

I can sense my 110 getting nervous. I'm tempted to put it on a weight loss program now.

There's no worries for me about the scales loosening yet... if they do I have plenty of thin CA glue on hand...:)

Seeing that 112 reminded me that I need to add a few customs like that to my collection..Really nice work! One with a DP blade would really look like a 500..

That is a very cool and very EDC worthy knife I love seeing pics of customized factory knives especially Bucks.
