sorry about the terrible scan:(

The love affair has begun! Good going. There is no cure for this ya know. Have your loved ones started yelling at you to spend more time with them yet? They will.

OK...gee...go ahead and brag about it...I could make damascus if I wanted too, I just don't like the stuff and uh oh yeah it looks funny like wood and it takes away from the scales and I hurt my arm last week.

Nice work!:)

Joe: You did it yourself, I just pointed.
Peter: You can come up for a weekend and make damascus with Joe and me.
Bill: It was 1084, 1095 & 15n20. The last 2 folds Joe hit it with a X pattern with the grinder. But, Joe can elaborate on it.

That looks cool. One day when I get better at making knifes I would like to try and make damascas. Damascas is awsome. About the handle material what about some kind of exotic wood, I once saw a Tai Chi damascas sword with some kind of pretty wood similar to Zebra wood and it looked really nice, the scabard was the same wood too and it was great. I love most asian blades though so I am kind of biased. I love the bowie style blades too but I don't know as much about them.

thanks for the kind words guys:D i cant wait to finish it up....hopefully by this sunday i should have it complete...
Bruce: your absolutly correct...i love making damascus...you could say im kinda hooked( i dont want a cure!!!)...thankfully my wife and kids are very understanding, that piece only took me 4 days to forge:eek: ;)
this saturday George and I will be firing up the dragon to breath some life into some more steel !!!

Wow! That damascus almost made me miss that beautiful grind! Can't wait to see this baby next week...

Hey, great work Joe! Is that the blade that you had profiled and you showed around at the marlbrough NCCA show? I think that i'm gonna have to make a trip to see you guys! I think that you should use a nice exotic hardwood for the handle like african blackwood, which would look sharp with NS bolsters, or better yet ivory scales and damascus bolsters!

Chuck: We will be here Saturday, if you want to come down. Dress warm, the forge and press are in a open air shop.

After all, I'm making you an uncle!!!!

Joe Cop: You have a better chance of shaking hands with Santa on Xmas, than you do in getting the knife.
