top -- 15 inch pound and a half AK by Sher. Only thing wrong with the entire rig is some grainlines on the handle which will probably never develop into cracks but they save you $50. Take it home for $75.

bottom -- 10/10 15 inch 21 ounce quick AK by Bura. Perfect knife. Scabbard took a hit during shipping and split. Wire wrap or email Terry Sisco to get your own custom scabbard. Beautiful gray horn on chakma. Wish the big hand matched. Beautiful stuff and well done.
Delivered to your door for $75 --$50 savings.

Call or email.

I'm sitting here, telepathically signaling philthygeezer to grab one of these AKs, and and to fall in love with it like no other tool he has.:)

My 15 in AK is by Bura...I talk to him every time I use it.

You now will have the life-experience of the Relativity Theory:

The more you want the khukri you ordered, the slower the seconds will pass, and the more difficulties (imagined or real) the delivery systems will encounter as you wait.

Throughout the world, small shrines have been erected to facilitate the delivery of HI Khuks. Not sure, but there may have been candles lit and incense burned.

Do NOT think of postal workers' strikes.

Congratulations, geezer...you're about to fall in love.

And the sacrifice of butter knives bent in emulation.

:D

The worst part of it is that I will likely be working in the Arctic when my new prized posession is delivered...:(

I will have to wait a couple of days and pick it up at the post office when I get home. If the plane is delayed due to inclement weather I will have a real test of character:mad: on my hands. Bending butter knives may serve as a quick fix though.

But in the end the piqued anticipation is all part of the fun, isn't it? I relish all of the experience, as even angst can be quite exciting.

And it's not here yet!! AAAAGHH!!! I am wasting the day away, buck naked (just got out of the shower), burning candles and incense and waiting for the sound of the post-person coming up the steps with a large khukuri.

Perhaps if I open the door in this nude state, the postal worker will just hand me the package and forget to ask for import duties.:eek: After all, it would be obvious that I don't have any money on me. Who knows, if it's a 'her' I might even make a new friend...

Well I can be nude in my own house, can't I?

Tomorrow I will begin the bending of cheap butter knives in anticipation of my recent purchase. Oh, and I haven't left the house yet today.:o

I would assuage my discomfort by thrashing on some lumber with a shiny 15" horn-handled Ang Khola khukuri (made by Sher), but I can't!:eek: Must... Hold... On...

I might post some pics of the boreal carnage that will, no doubt, ensue upon delivery.

This is quite an erudite nook of bladeforums. I wonder how many of the other groups have "boreal carnage"

:D
