Hi, I'm new in this forum and would like to know some things:

1)Are there really such things as 2 FT long balisongs when fully opened? I have already seen the 5-foot one but I just want something bigger than usual but not too big to be unmanagable.

2)Are there any companies who make the 2FT balisongs? If there are, what kind of handles do they have?

3)Are there any websites about them?

Thank you if you take the time to answer these.

The standard sizes in Batangas are 3". 4", 5" and 6". If you want anything bigger or smaller, you have to custom order them.

The information I was given by my brother in law over in Manila is that the 2 foot balisong cost about $50 american to have made. But he tells me the government considers them a sword and you can not send them over here using the mail service. I don't know if that is true or not, because I really don't trust the guy.

that's more like a short sword or a machete anyway.

but would it be able to be shipped if it was taken apart?

THe big dude on top is a 3 footer give or take.

If you truly come from Manila, Philippines I don't think it's a problem to get one

Ive had no problems receiving swords from PI. I cant imagine PI governement having special feelings concerning swords, and the US doesnt seem to either. Of course the same rules apply to balisong in general though, customs still is a pain and would probably be happy to confiscate a 3' bali if they had the chance. The Balik Bayan store in Manila had them when I was last there selling for about $20, also alot of the tourist stores in shoemart had them too. Seemed to be a pretty common item. However that was 10 years ago, so I dont know how inflation has changed. Also I wouldnt be surprised if they werent often in stock in bataangas. My uncle will atest to this that many people do carry and use those massive things there. Hes confiscated quite a few from wouldbe criminals.

You can order whatever size balisong you want from balisong, batangas. As long as the materials are available and cost is not an issue you can custom order whatever length or design you want.
