Just finished both of these orders. The first one has a 1095 blade with hamon. 416SS bolsters and stag scales.

The second one has a mosaic damascus blade, 416SS bolsters and Ivory scales.

Both screw together construction, which is good because I had to lighten up the spring on the first one.
Thanks for looking,
Chuck

Those are gorgeous. I particularly like that unusually vivid hamon.

Man screw together construction. Now that is interesting. Makes for cleaning and repairs much easier. I like that alot. And that hamon...just gorgeous.

I can't recall ever seeing a hamon on a slipjoint blade.
Super cool!

The hamon is great looking on that first one. The second one has a better bolster to handle ratio and that damascus pattern is really interesting. The long pulls are a nice touch. I'm sure you'll have some happy customers.

Personally I like a longer bolster, it gives the impression that the blade is longer. Traditionally slip-joints had short bolsters. Sometimes I determine the bolster length by the size of the piece of handle material that I am going to use.

Wow, those both look REALLY nice:thumbup:

I too really like the looks of the hamon on the first knife. It jumps right out at you.

wish you youngsters could have seen what they were making in 70s & 80s. these new knives are so much more refined & breathtaking. great blade profile on damacus but i'll take a hamon everytime. thanks for showing.

Just fantastic!!! And what a happy customers. Never thought hamon would be that good on a small blade.

Stag folder- The blade is 2-3/4in long, 1/2in wide and made of 1095. I differentially heat treated it to produce a nice hamon. The bolsters are satin finished 416 Stainless Steel. The scales are natural stag. The liners are titanium that I left polished, no anodizing for that classic look. They could be anodized if you wanted them to be. Great walk and talk with a half stop. This knife is screw together construction which will also allow me to adjust the spring tension if it is too tough to open. Overall length is 6-1/4in.

The damascus piece has a 3-5/8in blade. I don't remember the overall length, I think it was somewhere right around 8inches open.
