The last of this model knife for a while, seems like that's all I've been making lately. I haven't worked with mammoth ivory for a long time and looking forward to using it on my next knife........be kinda nice to get away from stag for a change :)

Both roughly have the same specs.

4.5" clay/polished 1095 and (1) 1084 blade
Bronze guard w/ black, copper, bronze spacers
Sambar stag scales on a black, copper and bronze frame
9.5" o.a.l.
2 Beautiful Paul Long pouch sheaths

Thanks,
Dave

Can't wait to see what you do next, but these hunters of yours are really outstanding.

Roger

Both superlative in every aspect, especially the clips, ferrules, file work, metal spacers! Wonderful to see stag hunters emancipated from obligatory red spacers. I won't hold my breath while you search for ivory the equal of that stag. Like sheath #1 the best.

Beyond words Dave.
There's nothing not to like.
Really like the way you finish your stag.
Very special.

Well, Dave, I'd blow smoke at you, but with your amazing ability I'd have to class those as just about average FOR YOU.......for someone else they would be the very top of the heap.

I know where both of those went and I also know a guy up north who is going to be doing back flips when he gets his.

As always, my friend, you never disappoint.

Paul

I could not agree more. This stag is something else.

Roger
Here's another beautiful (IMHO) piece of stag on another recently finished hunter.

One of the main reasons I like making these is because of the great stag I've been fortunate enough to work with.
I don't want to spoil the ivory choice for my customer but it will be similar to this set............which also (IMHO) is very beautiful!

Thanks very much you guys!!
Dave

Hey Michael, we were typing at the same time........Thank you!

Thanks Paul, I don't think he's aware that he'll also be recieving your sheath, I know he's going to be happy about that!

Nice work and love that stag. Can't wait to see what you do with mammoth:thumbup: The sheaths will do;):D

everyone else has pretty much said it, but I just wanted to add my .
:)

Very handsome knives Mr. Kelly. The Stag is outstanding as well as your work. The sheaths really compliment the knives and vice versa.

Dang....what a knife!

Great work....all around.

If I had to be stuck with one fixed blade forever , that one would fill the bill downright nicely. Very clean work Dave.

Exceptional !!

I got to play with 2 of Dave's knives that Paul owns a few weeks ago and can say that his attention to fit, finish and detail are second to none. Now if I could just talk Paul out of 1 of his...;)
