This is the nag/reminder thread for Craig about the "incoming" 20" Ang Khola khukuris.

By the way, Craig, are these stick tang like most of the GH khukuris or slab handles like the Panawal?

I would think that these are going to be like a Panawal on steroids (?) Should be a monster chopper!

A panawal on steriods - yes that's what it'll be, but with standard stick tangs. In hindsight, I think I should get a few 20 inch Panawals in on the next shipment, but these Ang Kholas will do fine until then. Anybody who isn't happy can always trade up.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, the Khukuris will come tomorrow with a smile - for - you. (sung to the tune of the Mr. Roger's bye-bye song).

The shipment is still sitting in DFW awaiting transport to Virginia! If it's not already here, it'll be here over the weekend, and I can pick it up on Monday. Of course, it has to clear customs . . .

Rest assured that as soon as I have the box open, my digital camera will be a-snappin' and the photos will be posted. Incidentally, I've already sold about half of them sight unseen - I've had to guess at the price (my shipping costs are always the key there).

I personally can't wait to own and use one. I think it definitely will become my most robust model. Of course, I do have ONE buffalo head (37 inches long) coming in - but is it practical?

Mike (and everybody else, but especially Mike

) - the shipment arrived today, and I have been buried in Khukuris all day. Of course, I promised to post a pic of the Ang Khola THE DAY they came in, so here's one, taken in haste on my front walkway:

angkhola.jpg

It weighs in at 3 pounds (knife only), is a whopping 5/8 inches thick at the thickest point, has a wonderful Ang Khola blade, and a big heavy thick wood handle. The handle is a bit on the thick side for my smaller-sized hands, but will do the trick for the Cliff Stamps of the world. Of course, smaller handed people could always sand downt he handle to fit them.

I'll post more pics (yes, even of the WWIII) in a day or two, once I get a chance to catch my breath.

Ah, a Whopper of a Chopper!
Thanks Craig!
And how many yankee greenbacks will this one cost us?

Although I haven't "released" it yet on the website, the forumite intro price is $100.00 plus shipping. I have 3 to go at that price. After that, they're going to be $109.00. (not much savings, but a little bit, eh?).

Craig.

McNabb - your's just went into the UPS truck.
