I'm looking for standard (tear drop shaped) 24 inch wood hawk Handle. It dose not have to be any fancy woods they will be users. I tried the search and Yahoo and goggle but came up with 0. (admittedly not the best at any of these functions so I may well have missed something)

I know Cold Steal makes long handles but the diameter is a little large. Guess I can slim one of these down but would rather not have to.

Any help Folks????

Thanks

I too am looking for a 23-24 inch handle for a fighting hawk, putting a spike on a Rifleman's hawk with a large beard. Should be a good compliment to my HB Forge... I know cold creek did something similar they called the SWAT Hawk but I can't justify the bones for something like that right now

I found these at Dixie Gun Works

Ordered a couple and will post when they come in.

Handles (?) came in from Dixie gun works. There not over sized handles there 24 inch table legs. They are tapered but they are round not tear drop shaped.

I think the Sledge handle will be much easier to work with.

Comparing the haft on the Fort Turner hawk I just got in, the Cold Steel 30" replacement handle is an oval very close to the right side, I'll just have to contour one side to a tear-drop shape to fit it to the hawk. You might want to try them, rather than have to do a lot more work to rework a sledge handle.
