Received a 25" AK the other day and can't help but be blown away by this one! The kami's never fail to impress me with their work. I get a mental image but the real thing is always better! I have a 20" AK and that khuk is capable of felling good sized trees but this one makes me think I could take on one of the Giant Seqouias in California. (I won't so don't worry!). This khuk is more like the George Foreman of AKs. It might be slow but it has the power! I do have one question though, I know some of the Kami's changed marks and I thought that Kesar got Durba's old mark, the mark on the big 25" is like Durba's but only inverted. Is this Kesar's mark now ?
Anyway it snowed and was cold so I have not actually used this one yet. I would not survive the back lash if I was to use this one in the house so will have to wait for a better day. :D

Congrats on the new AK, hoghead. Arn't the 25" AKs increadable?:) I have one:D that was made by Durba.:) There is a field report on my websiite with pics (Link at the botton of my post). Check out what that bad boy can do.:D I'm not sure on the mark, but I think it's Kesar. BTW how tall are you? Most people can't handle that large an AK. I'm 6'4" and handle mine quite well.

Thanks for help, Heber. I think it's Kesar, too.

I believe in the pix I recently posted of Kesar he's working on a 20 or 25 inch AK -- this from memory so if I'm wrong don't be surprised. I have to look at my driver's license sometimes just to double check my name.

Thanks for the help Heber, your post and pics had a lot do with my ordering a big 25". BTW, I'm only 6'1" so am a little bit smaller but think I can handle this one. The weather is improving so will have to give it a try! I kind of thought that the kami was Kesar. I enjoy this part of khukuri collecting also. It kind of personalizes the khuk and provides a little bit of mystic. As far as the khuk goes, whoever the kami was they did a great job!!!! Will let you know if it handles as well as it looks! I am sure there is a need for more firewood.gain, thanks and I agree with Oncle that sometimes I need to look at my license too!
