I wasn't going to make this post today but then I rethought and here it is. The way we beat the terrorists is to not let them interfere and continue to do our business as usual. Same reason I made the flight back to the midwest last year less than two weeks after the 9/11 attack on a third full airplane.

top -- Very nice 18 inch 21 oune Kobra by Sher. Perfect rig except there's a slight crack in the handle. Epoxy and clamp and crack goes away. Delivered to your door for $62.50.

center -- Fairly beefy 15 inch pound and a half BAS by new kami (K. S. with trisul). Very substantial karda and chakma. Another 10/10 rig with small super glue fix crack in handle. Take it home for $60.

bottom -- 15 inch 23 ounce AK by new kami. Same problem -- pronounced grain lines in handle. Super glue or use as is. Yours for half price $62.20

Last Christmas alot of people appeared to be indecisive about decorating with outside lights OR even putting up a Christmas Tree.

My neighbor (retired Army Sgt Major) told me, he wasn't going to decorate at all for Xmas.
I asked him WHY had we both served our Country in the military and seen a few fallen friends? To preserve our FREEDOM, and our way of life, envied by many! Are you going to let the terrorists redefine your freedom and way of life? I hate to admit it but they have partially succeeded, so far. They have REDEFINED our freedom to a degree! He thought it over and decided to decorate, although he hasn't spoken to me since, very strange.

OUR Country has its faults, Yes, but its our Free Country. IT'S STILL THE ONLY COUNTRY, I KNOW OF, that people, bribe, steal, sneak, etc , to GET IN TO AND NOT OUT OF..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm always will to learn! I'm glad you are proud of your Country, also. My experience with Germany is from 1962-1965. I didn't see any illegal immigrants, at that time, but that was loooong ago.
Lahr, Swartzwald. Beautiful area! Enjoyed watching the CRAFTSMAN in the Black Forest, in their carvings.
 
Actually, I think it's more that there are so many countries that people will risk their lives to get OUT of. They don't care where they end up, really.

A while back Britain was having illegal immigrant problems too - people turning up dead or nearly so in sealed shipping crates.
 
tohatchi is right. There's a lot of countries people want to get out of. Let's try to make it more comfortable for them over there and they will stop to cross our borders. But then, to whom i am telling this? IMO there ain't no other forum that does as much for a poor foreign country than this here. Keep it going, Bill!

The Brits have put up very effective controls, so the problem is a lot smaller for them today. It's been easier for them as they are living on an island and just have to control the harbours and x-ray the trucks and cars to get most of the illegals. The north sea and the north atlantic is not the caribbean and does it's share to keep away people that may want to try it with small boats.

In Germany, we have a very expensive social system. Anybody who comes here from a "dangerous country" and asks for asylum and doesn't have money will get a home, a bed, clothing and money to live. Without the obligation to work. People asking for asylum don't even have a RIGHT to work, but will get home and money, anyway. That's what makes our country so attractive to many.

Me, I sure would not mind living in the US and being able to get all the khuks I want without the shipping $ and customs hassle. Got a cousin in Arizona who married an american gal and has been there 12+ years. He even speaks like an american now :)
