top -- 18 inch 28 ounce WWII model by Bura. 10/10 but handle has grainlines which will probably never delelop into cracks but you never know. Good karda and chakma. Same old perfect scabbard by village sarki. All three of these are going for half price today so take this one home for $72.50

center -- 16.5 inch pound and a half WWII model by Bura. Only thing I can find wrong with the entire rig is a couple of minor rust spots on the blade -- 5 minute cleanup. Good karda and chakma. Village sarki scabbard and frog. You can't go wrong for $62.50.

bottom -- 15 inch pound and a half AK by new kami (KS with trisul). I don't know why Yangdu stuck this in the blem box because I can't see anything wrong with it but if Yangdu says it's a blem then it's a blem. Maybe you can find out why. Good rig for $62.50

Call or email to get any or all of these half price specials.

Dang, I should take all three.

I'm laying claim to the middle.

email sent

(Added) - though I always seem to be right behind someone. Gotta take that speed typing course. I'll defer to prag. Thanks to Uncle's iron-clad (steel-clad?) guarantee, I' ll have a new khuk on the way soon anyways.

Two emailed saying they would take the WWII but did not specify which one. One emailed saying he would take both WWIIs so both WWIIs GTNM. Be specific or you'll miss out.

AK is left.

Thanks Tohatchi, I believe Uncle's last post refered to my "less specific" email ...so I will respect his decision, which ever way it goes.
Your Sir, are a gentleman, Thanks

ICS - I assume you're the recipient of GTNM. I'm coming to Albq. this weekend, and I'd be glad to trade you a case of Bondini for a WWII, seeing as the magical superglue is in short supply out your way.

:D

"AK gone"
I just about ate a styrofoam coffee cup trying to resist, but I swear that AK was calling out to me. It won't see duty in Afghanistan, but it will help keep my fireplace supplied back in Texas.:D

:o I would take you up on that Tohatchi, if it wasn't designated for a Xmas present.
I WILL PROMISE, to not go for any more deals, for at least a month.

WHAT would I do with a full case of Bondini? Could share some with Pappy, I suppose.

AND IF, IF, IF, I should have a breakdown, I'll have Uncle send it to you, but you have to email me and be specific on what you want, in case it should come up.

I'd turn my computer off, if it wasn't so interesting and knowledge expanding to read all the good stuff on the forum. Just wish I had total recall!

and perhaps a bit overexcited. At least that's my excuse this time. ;)

I was one of those who fired off a "Send me the WWII, Uncle Bill!" message the other day as well. Uncle replied, "which one?" and my "Oops, sorry, I meant the 18" WWII" was too late.

(I know what you're thinking, Munk, but I just could not help myself.)

Uncle responded with a message that both WWIIs are gone, but he's got a nicer one for me for a few dollars more if I'm interested and I took him up on the deal.

It arrived yesterday. Now by this time, after all these knives, it still never ceases to amaze me how I still react to a new HI khuk. This "blem" has a very slight gap along one edge of the buttcap and a skinny, undersized chakma that falls down into the scabbard.

The handle is large and perfectly shaped. I coated the handle in hooflex and let it sit overnight. This morning I shined it up to reveal the most beautiful, highly polished horn handle I have ever seen. It has a translucent quality with a white marking on one side that resembles a photo of the Milky Way, and gray sworls on the other side that appear only when you hold it at certain angles to the light.

The karda is huge, with gray highlights and a rounded end. I swapped the chakma with one from my workbench that came from my wife's 12" AK. It's got a flat top on it, but otherwise makes a nice match for this rig.

The blade is perfect in every way, I was unable to find any defect at all. It's marked with a rising sun and the letters "S.B." so I'm guessing it's a Sher. I think I've found myself a new favorite.
