I had almost forgot but this weekend June 24 was my third year anniversary as a full time Bladesmith. And I don't have any plans on it being my last....

Keep the forge fires Burning,so we all know were home when we see there glow on the horizon..

I just had to tell myself Happy Anniversary and share it with my friends.
Thanks,
Bruce

Hey thats great Bruce. How long have you been making knives? I would love to see the first knife you ever made. Maybe we could persuade you to make a special three year anniversary knife. I'm positive it would make for a sought after collectible piece a couple of years from now. I would love to see a knife made by you that was made as a collectable piece. And I'm sure others would too.

Bruce, Happy anniversary!

I just celebrated my second year on the 12th of this month. I have never enjoyed any job more than this. Its great waiting for monday so I can go back to work. The Other Bruce.

Way to go, guys! Does it ever feel like work to you? I've amde about ten knives in the last week and it has seemed more like work and less like play. Of course if I had a big fire and something to beat on that would improve things. Also, in terms of grinding, not having to spend 8 hours on each knife erasing file mark scratches would probably increase my enjoyment factor. Someday, maybe!

Bruce E, Congratulations on three fantastic ass-whompin years! Can't wait to see what the next few will bring.

Bruce B, I love your attitude -- when you have a job you love you can only succeed. Wish we could see more of your work too!

Steve, maybe you're looking a gift horse in the mouth; anyone who can finish 10 knives in a week -- working by hand no less -- is one hard working skilled and motivated knifemaker.

You all rock, and I'm lazy and ashamed of myself!

Dave

From the looks of what you've been crafting Bruce it looks more like your 20th anniversary! Awesome!

Thanks everybody.
This coming January marks my tenth year anniversary to the craft of knifemaking. Not counting my couple of failed attempts as a kid in High School.
