Found a supply of 5160 1 1/2 x 1/4 , 20ft for $35. Fair price? What steel would combine with 5160 for damascus? Thanks dlee

$1.50 per pound is the going rate for 5160. I didn't take the time to figure out the weight of the size bar you mentioned.
As far a mixing it in damascus, I don't recommend it. 5160 can be finicky to weld, and unless your mixing it with a nickel alloy, the watering is fairly subtle.
