Anyone remember a Kevin Robinson wanting to work on our knives? I just received my second production 7 that he worked on for me. The fact that I had him work on two of my knives should speak for itself. I am a lefty and therefore always admiring those custom bolstered knives floating around, alway right handed. I read Kevin's post and was interested. So I sent him two knives, one to be bolstered and all the goodies, the other to simply have the pocket clip moved(both were BM7s). As soon as I got the first one back I called and had the second done as well. I was already thinking this before I recieved the first knife. I can be hard on my gear and didn't want to have to worry about trashing the only one. Anyway...about the knives. Both have Ti bolsters and micarta scales. The first is slightly more elegant (remember we are talking about CQC's). The micarta is polished and the scales are cut at an angle to the micarta. I had Kevin bead blast everything, save the blade, including the pocket clip. The contract is very nice. With the second one I was wanting a more utilitarian look. This is the one that I plan to carry first. This difference is that the bolsters are cut horizontally the scales and the clip was left black, not as much rust to worry about. The scales were left blasted and not polished. Both knives turned out great and feel solid in the hand. If anyone is interested in having some work done, contact Kevin Robinson(K_Robinson4163@msn.com)

Yep - Kevin's working on my SOCFK for me - Ti bolsters, bead blasted liners, micarta scales. I'll post pics when it arrives - he's had a string of rough luck with his shop since he moved, so he's using his mentor's place (Larry Chew) until his is back up and running - I'm psyched because he said he's going to get Larry's input on my knife!

rk:
I really enjoyed working on your lefties,as you can guess most of work I do is on right handed knives so yours posed a bit of a contrast,a welcome one.

Your SOCFK is next on the list and will be the first of that model I have done so I am looking forword to that one as well.
