Folks, 10 years ago on this day I was standing in my office staring at my tv and really not comprehending what I was seeing. At 10:00 I shut down my 3 depts. and brought as many as I could into my office because I did not know what was going on. All of us just stood, sat, crouched, & kneeled and watched in horror of what was happening in New York city. Some of the guys showed anger, some of them showed frustration, a few of them had tears in their eyes and down their cheeks, but most of us just didn't understand.
I can remember the details from that morning and afternoon just like I can remember every detail from the night of my son's birth back in 1984.
Please take a moment today to remember what happened, what this great country went thru, & how those few single tragedies changed yours and my life forever . . .
To those on here that are firefighters, EMS, LEO, or military, who are sworn to uphold the laws that protect myself and my family on a daily basis, a heartfelt & sincere thank you from the JUST1MOR household for what you do. My brother is a trooper in Alabama & I say a prayer everyday that he will be safe and will be able to go home that night. After him doing this for 26 years, to this day I still worry about him . . . . . after all, he is my "little" brother . . . .
Folks, take a moment today, just a few seconds, and remember those who left for work that morning, sun up, beautiful blue skies, warm air, and never realizing that this was going to be their last morning . . . . take a moment today and remember where you were and what you were doing that terrible morning . . . . take a moment today and make sure your loved ones and all your friends know how you feel about them . . . . because we will never know when our moment is nearing . . . . .
Godspeed to all of you,
Be safe.
